Communication Lab Earns BHCOE Preliminary Accreditation
Receiving National Recognition for Commitment to Quality Improvement
San Diego, CA– BHCOE Accreditation has recognized Communication Lab with a Preliminary Accreditation, acknowledging the organization as a behavioral service provider dedicated to continuous improvement in applied behavior analysis. BHCOE Accreditation recognizes behavioral health providers that excel in the areas of clinical quality, staff qualifications, and promote systems that enhance these areas. BHCOE Preliminary Accreditation occurs for newer organizations or organizations preparing to meet full accreditation review within a year, prior to a full evaluation. This consists of a high-level review of organizational systems to identify areas for improvement prior to growth.
BHCOE Accreditation and BHCOE Preliminary Accreditation are the only applied behavior analysis (ABA)-specific accreditations. Acting as a third-party, the organization systematically measures and reports on existing quality criteria in the behavior analysis community using standardized methods and practices, and accredits only those service agencies that meet these standards.
“At Communication Lab, our Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs are designed with child and caregiver connection at the core,” said Clinical Director Phil Peters. “Our team is proud to receive the BHCOE distinction, as it is our top priority to ensure that our training and protocols are effective. We look forward to providing ongoing support to continue to help provide the tools needed for those with autism to gain their independence and have the best quality of life.”
About BHCOE Accreditation and Preliminary Accreditation
BHCOE Accreditation is a trusted source that recognizes behavioral health organizations committed to continuous quality improvement. BHCOE offers a third-party measurement system that differentiates and provides independent feedback on clinical quality indicators. The BHCOE criterion features standards that subject-matter experts developed to measure effective applied behavior analysis services. The Preliminary Accreditation audit process consists of an interview, document review and systems analysis. The Preliminary Accreditation can also be used by providers looking to prepare for full accreditation within the next year as a way to prepare for the larger survey. About Communication Lab
Communication Lab provides ABA services to help parents and caregivers build a stronger connection with their child diagnosed with autism. It is our top priority for our patients to have the ability to freely express themselves and ultimately gain their independence. We guide the caregiver to build new behaviors that originate from a thoughtful blend of strong connections and improved communication skills. Through this process, caregivers and their children have a deeper connection and a stronger understanding of relating to one another. Our ABA therapy programs are technology-based direct care with supervision of patients and behavioral therapists, a caregiver coaching program, and analysis-based assessments for each child. We also assist with guidance for the critical “next steps” after one receives a diagnosis of autism, as we provide a one-on-one consultation to parents and families in need of ABA services.
