Family Centred Practices Group Earns 2-Year BHCOE Reaccreditation Receiving National Recognition for Commitment to Quality Improvement
Vancouver, BC – BHCOE Accreditation has recognized Family Centred Practices Group with a 2-Year Reaccreditation, acknowledging the organization as a behavioral service provider dedicated to continuous improvement in applied behavior analysis. Family Centred Practices Group is the only organization in Canada to be accredited as a Behavioral Health Center of Excellence (BHCOE). BHCOE Accreditation recognizes behavioral health providers that excel in the areas of clinical quality, staff qualifications and consumer satisfaction and promote systems that enhance these areas. These areas are measured with a wide-ranging audit, including interviews with agency clinical leadership, in-depth on-site observation, a detailed staff qualification review, an anonymous staff satisfaction survey, and an anonymous consumer satisfaction survey.
BHCOE Accreditation is the only applied behavior analysis (ABA)-specific accreditation. It provides feedback regarding clinical best practices, staff satisfaction and turnover, and consumer protection. Acting as a third-party, the organization systematically measures and reports on existing quality criteria in the behavior analysis community using standardized methods and practices, and accredits only those service agencies that meet these standards.
Clinical Director Tina Linton, M.Ed., BCBA, says, “Becoming the first Canadian provider to be recognized as a Behavioral Health Center of Excellence back in 2017 was a huge honor and to be reaccredited as the county’s only BHCOE years later is something we are very proud of. We are thankful to our team of highly qualified and compassionate individuals who work collaboratively to provide innovative, effective services. We look forward to continuing to provide evidence-based services to our community and beyond while striving for the highest standards within our industry for years to come.”
FCPG is committed to providing the highest level of quality care to help clients achieve meaningful progress. This honor reflects the caliber of their team, organizational integrity, and their dedication to families impacted by autism spectrum disorders. Sara Gershfield Litvak, Founder of BHCOE, says, “They truly exemplify clinical and organizational practices that reflect their commitment for accessible services that are ethical and effective.”
